I really like that panel there, for its oddness and for the clearly delineated perspective of the differing statures of the figures. Though I never dug the idea of the Quintessence, and the Stranger especially seemed out of place in their midst.
Not to beat a dead horse but as I mentioned in a previous entry, I really did not like this issue. I don't like the idea that Superman has to go to the kangaroo court of Magic-Weirdo Town for having the AUDACITY to be a superhero, and I especially don't like the idea of the Quintessence as a legitimate entity.
Mark Schultz?? I remember him from his Xenozoic Tales days. Now he's on Superman.
Boy, have I ever been out of the Comic-ballgame for too long. (About 10 years...)
